Who We Are
St. Anthony Parish
St. Anthony Parish (1300 Urban Dr. Columbus, OH 43229) was founded by Bishop Clarence Issenmann in 1963, with the Church and School construction completed in 1965. The School completed an expansion project in 1980. The Parish closed in Fall 2023.
St. Elizabeth Parish
St. Elizabeth Parish (6077 Sharon Woods Blvd. Columbus, OH 43229) was founded at the time of Bishop John Carberry in 1967, with the Church dedicated in 1971. In 1992, the Church was renovated and in 2007, the building was expanded to include a classroom wing. The Parish was changed to St. Josephine Bakhita Parish in Summer 2024.
St. Matthias Parish
St. Matthias Parish (1582 Ferris Rd. Columbus, OH 43224) was founded by Bishop Michael Ready in 1956, with the original Church as a barn dedicated in 1958. The original gym was converted into the new Church and was renovated in 1979. The Parish added a Center/Gym in 1997. The Parish was merged into St. Josephine Bakhita Parish in Summer 2024.
St. Josephine Bakhita Parish
On June 15, 2024, Bishop Earl Fernandes, Bishop of Columbus, established St. Josephine Bakhita Parish through a merger of the 3 former Parishes located in the Northland area of Columbus. The Parish Church is located at the former St. Elizabeth Parish building and the Parish School is located at the former St. Matthias Parish building. There is a worship site at each location.

Brazilian
Every Sunday at 7:00 pm at the St. Matthias Chapel in Portuguese.
Congolese
First Sunday of the Month at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Parish Church in Swahili (combined with Kenyan and Tanzanian).
Filipino
First Saturday of the Month at 7:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Parish Church in English. Also, First Wednesday of the Month at 6:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Parish Church for Rosary and Daily Mass in Tagalog.
Haitian
Every Sunday except First Sunday at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Parish Church in French/Creole.
Kenyan
First Sunday of the Month at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Parish Church in Swahili (combined with Congolese and Tanzanian).
Nigerian
First and Third Sunday of the Month at 4:00 pm at St. Matthias Chapel in English/Igbo.
Tanzanian
First Sunday of the Month at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Parish Church (combined with Congolese and Kenyan).
St. Josephine Bakhita Catholic School
Our Parish Catholic School is located at (1566 Ferris Rd. Columbus, OH 43224). It is also the location of St. Matthias Chapel.
