Where is the Parish?

Our Church is located inside St. Elizabeth Church, which was founded in 1966, at 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd. Columbus, OH 43229. Our Parish Offices, Pastors’ Hall, and a classroom wing for Adult and Child Faith Formation are also at this address.

What happened to St. Anthony, St. Elizabeth, and St. Matthias Parishes?

We are one new parish from a merger between the former St. Anthony (1300 Urban Dr. Columbus, OH 43229), St. Elizabeth (6077 Sharon Woods Blvd. Columbus, OH 43229) and St. Matthias (1582 Ferris Rd. Columbus, OH 43224).

Who is St. Josephine Bakhita?

St. Josephine Bakhita (1869-1947) was born in Sudan, sold into slavery from a young age, the victim of abuse and human rights violations, and eventually was taken to Italy where she became a Catholic sister. She was canonized in 2000 by Pope John Paul II as the first canonized Black woman in modern times. We are honored to have her as our patron.

We Like when visitors become parishioners.

What does Parish registration mean?

In the United States, parish registration simply allows us to hold your information in our Parish Offices. Registration information and numbers are an important indicator to the Bishop of our census and parishioner involvement.

What does it cost?

Nothing! The Church and the sacraments are free gifts of grace. We do encourage parishioners to give to our offertory through offertory envelopes or online giving. There is no set amount and we are grateful for those who give out of their need, like the widow in the Gospel (Mark 12:42). Special sacraments, such as weddings and funerals, may have stipends attached that go directly to those involved for their time and services.
